November post

Well time has sure flown right by! I can't believe it's been almost two months since my last post! I'm not sure if anyone is actually reading this anymore which I don't blame anyone for giving up on me due to my lack of posts...

Anyway, as I mentioned in my last post, we went to California at the end of last month for my nephew's baby blessing and we had a great time! It was really warm the entire time we were there and we even took a trip to the beach. My nephew seems to be doing well but doesn't use the left side of his body much (he had a stroke on the right side of his brain sometime before he was born). They think maybe some physical therapy can correct that. I think there still might be some time for other effects of the stroke so show up, but so far he is doing great and there didn't seem to be too much damage. He is also incredibly happy and friendly! Luckily for them since Christian (the 2 year old) was NOT! Christian has developed that way though... I was actually quite shocked at how much he liked to talk to everyone but I guess personalities change rapidly.

I have been home more this month than I was last month, but did house-sit a little at the beginning of the month and just got back from Utah for a brief Thanksgiving trip. I wasn't planning to go home, but my parents bought me a plane ticket home since they knew I couldn't afford it. It was nice to be able to spend Thanksgiving with them and I will be back in a few weeks for Christmas.

I have also started to look/apply for new jobs. I've been told it takes 6 months to find a job so hopefully this means I'll have something waiting for me when I'm done... I've also been mulling over going to nursing school. There are a few schools in the country you can apply to grad school for nursing even if you aren't currently a nurse. I have been considering becoming a CNM (certified nurse midwife) but I need to take several science classes prior to applying. I still have 5 months left so I don't need to decide right now...
