I had a church meeting (bah) on Saturday at 9:00 so I was only able to go weigh in at WW at 7:30 (double bah). I stayed the same as last week... The leader told me "you're getting to that difficult part"... Great. I set my goal to be about 10 pounds lighter than I am now, probably a mistake. I did start lifting weights with my brother last weekend and have been back twice since (it would have been three times but we had a major snow storm and driving in snow is not usually fun)so maybe it's good that I stayed the same and didn't gain? I guess we'll see what happens next week.
I've discovered I actually really like weight lifting. Sounds weird I know, and I'm always incredibly sore the next day but I don't find myself making excuses to get out of it. I actually took a weight lifting class my Jr year in high school and liked it so much I took it again my senior year. I think the key in exercise is finding something you like to do. If you don't like to hop on the treadmill (like me) then you probably won't keep up with it for very long. My brother has a lot of weight equipment so I'm lucky that way but when I move I'll probably have to get a gym membership or something so I can keep lifting. Even though I didn't lose anything this week, I still took a pic. Overall I have now lost 36 pounds:
On to the school news... I still have not applied but I think I will apply for Summer term. I've also applied to take online courses from Oregon State to try and get more of my prereq's (read: Lots of Chemistry) out of the way. I had a lot of good ideas to work on my personal statement, unfortunately I was on my way to work at the time and now can't remember any of them. I took a pretty long nap today so will probably be awake for a while (that and the fact that it's Daylight saving time and I feel like it's an hour earlier) and will work on it now.
